We are always happy to talk to prospective owners, so please feel free to contact us even if you are just doing your initial research and have questions about whether a GSP is the right breed for you.
GSP’s are definitely not the breed for everyone. They are from the Hunt, Point, Retrieve group of Gundogs, and as a consequence the majority have very strong working instincts. They are also very intelligent and therefore require lots of mental stimulation, a bored GSP is likely to find ‘exciting things to do’ unfortunately his or her definition of ‘exciting’ is likely to be behaviour you consider undesirable!!!
Rest assured, although personally we absolutely adore this breed, we will tell you ‘warts and all’ what sharing your life with a GSP will be like, and be prepared as we will also ask you lots of questions!!!
